How Far In Advance Should I Book My Wedding Band?

After exhibiting at the Scottish Wedding Show last month, we found a question that was hot on peoples lips;

“how far in advance should I book you?”

This is a great question, not only for wedding bands but also for any supplier you may want to use for your big day.  Groove Culture currently have weddings booked in 2020, that’s two years away!  You may think that seems like a lifetime just now, but it won’t be long before your wedding is just around the corner.

A few years ago at a showcase we had a bit of an awkward situation where a bride was paying the deposit of to book us but the hotels signal for the card machine was playing up and the bride behind them wanted to book us…..on the same date!

She had cash and was wanting to pay there and then.  You would think “what are the chances” but we have seen it happen before our very eyes! We obviously gave the first bride the opportunity to pay the deposit the following day, but think of the second bride, that’s how easy it is too lose out on a supplier!

You will have seen suppliers who have grabbed your attention, or you will have some in mind who friends have maybe used at their own wedding.  The biggest piece of advice we can give is that once you know that you want it, book it!  This is especially true for wedding bands, as we can only play at one wedding per day.  Photographers and videographers would also fall into this category, where they can only be at one event or wedding per day so securing these as soon as you can once you find the supplier that is right for you should be one of your top priorities!

Groove Culture require a £200 deposit to book and secure your date, with the balance due four weeks before your big day.  You can also pay towards your balance earlier if you wish.
